The seal and the history were recorded when the agreement was completed. If anyone changes the document afterwards, even by one character, the hashes no longer match. If anyone changes an entry in the history, every entry after it stops matching too.

Maple eSign is Canadian-owned and built in Canada. The application, its database, document storage and database backups run in Google Cloud’s Montreal region, under a Canada-only infrastructure policy.

This is our policy, not a contractual guarantee. A data-residency guarantee would need an agreement of its own.

  1. Certifications we don’t have

    We don’t claim any certification on this site. If we haven’t earned it, we don’t show it.

  2. That an AI agent can sign

    An agent can find your agreements and prepare drafts, but a person sends them. Only a person can sign or give consent.

  3. That Maple eSign’s name is hidden

    Every branded signing page still shows “Powered by Maple eSign”, whatever the colours.

  4. That we’re responsible for your agreement

    The sender is responsible for the agreement, for making sure each signer has the authority to sign, and for how the finished document is shared.
