For mortgage brokers
Get every document signed before the rate hold ends.
Send the credit check consent, the application and the commitment letter as soon as each one is ready. The borrower and co-borrower sign on their own phones, and you can see who still has to sign. Maple eSign is Canadian-owned and hosted in Canada. It’s free to use, and you can sign up online, for yourself or your team.
Co-borrowers
Borrower and co-borrower sign on their own phones.
The two borrowers don’t need to be in the same place to sign the commitment letter. It goes back to the lender as soon as the second signature is in, and you can see how much of the rate hold is left.
Templates
Set up your intake forms once, then use them on every file.
Save your credit check consent, privacy consent, application and gift letter as templates. The fields stay where you put them, including a SIN field that checks the number’s format. Only the borrowers change.

Before you send
The lender sets the dates and the rules.
A pre-approval can “lock in an interest rate for 60 to 130 days, depending on the lender”, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada says. Each lender also decides which documents it accepts with an electronic signature, so ask before you send.
Registering the mortgage is separate
Registering the mortgage on title follows your province’s land registry rules. We read the FCAC’s page on October 26, 2026.
Send your next commitment letter with Maple eSign.
It’s free to use, and you can sign up online, for yourself or your team.
